In the segment of backing bricks, wienerberger is the global market leader. These bricks form the backbone of modern buildings and are used in load-bearing exterior and interior walls as well as in non-load-bearing partition walls or infill applications in reinforced concrete frame construction.
Our roof tiles and facing bricks shape the roofs and façades of single-family and multi-family homes as well as of commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, and other public facilities.
For public spaces as well as for landscape and garden design, we offer attractive, durable, and functional paving solutions made from clay, stone, and concrete.

In the development of our building materials and system solutions, we consistently align with the requirements of climate change. Increasing weather extremes such as heat waves, storms, and heavy precipitation are driving demand for climate-resilient materials, highly effective insulation systems, and measures to prevent overheating. Bricks offer ideal conditions in this regard: with an expected lifespan of more than 100 years, very good thermal insulation properties, and high thermal mass, they make a significant contribution to reducing the energy demand and environmental impact of buildings.
For net-zero buildings, we offer particularly sustainable products characterized by an extremely low CO2 footprint in production or very high energy efficiency, as well as tailored photovoltaic solutions for the generation of renewable energy.

In the roofing segment, we have developed specialized solutions that withstand extreme weather conditions such as severe hail, storms, or heavy snow loads while simultaneously helping to minimize heat inside buildings.
